Yoga can be very helpful for people with multiple sclerosis.
Yoga practices can help you:
- build strength
- improve balance and posture
- deepen the breath
- relieve anxiety, tension and sleeplessness
- correct pronation
- lessen spasticity
- increase energy
- improve your mood
But if you have MS, you may be reluctant to attend a group yoga class. You may lack energy to get up and out of the house, or it may be difficult for you to drive to a class. Or you may be physically unable to do some of the yoga poses on your own.
Solution: a certified, experienced yoga teacher who makes house calls! I will come to you for 30-60 minutes of gentle, assisted yoga in the comfort and privacy of your own home, working on poses that specifically meet your needs, with hands-on help and careful instruction.
As a certified Integral Yoga instructor, I have worked with students with MS for many years. I encourage you to give "home yoga" a try and see what a difference it can make in your life! Contact me at (218) 728-9942 or grihastashrami@gmail.com
